Her father was Samuel Appleton Holbrook. The Holbrook surname was retained in the Lowell family by Fannie's son and grandson. My grandfather was William Holbrook Lowell, Sr. and my uncle was William Holbrook Lowell, Jr. I have some diaries of Fannie which mention Julia. There is one other family member whose name is Lucy Philbrook or Philbook. I think that she is related to the sisters but I do not know how. She lived in Portland, Maine. I have some photos which may also show Julia. Fannie and Wm. lived for a time in Nova Scotia. He was an American banker.
