Winslow Jones in Falmouth, was kicked to death by a horse yesterday morning. He took the horse from Mr. Henry Pearson, who is acting as foreman of the factory, to put up in a stable some distance from where the men were at work, and in three-quarters of an hour afterwards was found by Mr. Pearson lying partly in the stable and nearly dead. He was taken into the factory and Dr. Parker of Falmouth, was called, but he died immediately. His left leg was broken below the knee, some of his ribs broken, and his skull crushed. It is supposed that after feeding the animal that he stepped behind him to look at a sore on the off hind leg, and that in touching it the horse kicked, breaking his leg, which caused him to fall into the stall, where he was trampled upon. The horse when the man was found had kicked off one of the stall boards, has his fore feet in the manger and was trembling with fear. Deceased was a native of Scarborough, but ha lived in Falmouth twenty years. He leaves a wife and five children.
