He came to Utah with early Mormons via his older sisters after parents died in IO going to Utah. He married 1st, Matilda Eve Pettit, w/children and later 2nd Gustava (Augusta Larson) w/more children. He died at North Point, Salt Lake, UT on November 30, 1893. His 2nd wife after Matilda died was the sister of my Swedish gg-grandfather Otto Larson. Otto was taken in by Levi and given work when he immigrated to UT. Otto married his daughter Clarissa Reed, how about that for gratitude. Her father Levi married Otto's sister Augusta." Levi W. Reed and Matilda Eve Pettit were married on 1 May 1852 in Salt Lake City, Utah (Salt Lake). Matilda Eve Pettit, daughter of Ethan Pettit and Margaret Ellsworth, was born on 4 April 1837 in Hempstead, New York (Queens). She died on 20 March 1869 at the age of 31 in Salt Lake City, Utah (Salt Lake). Levi W. Reed-46402 and Matilda Eve Pettit-48017 had the following children:
