He immigrated in June 1832 to Canada from England.⁵⁵ He lived in Moss Glen, Kings County, New Brunswick in 1832.^26,29 William lived in Walton's Lake, Moss Glen, New Brunswick in 1850.²⁹ He lived in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1851.⁵⁵ In 1851 he was an owner farmer in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada.⁵⁵ William lived in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1871.²⁵ In 1881 he was a farmer in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada.³⁰ He was Catholic in 1881 in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada.³⁰ William lived in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1881.³⁰ He died on 15 July 1889 at the age of 77 in Kingston, Kent, New Brunswick.^26,29 Written by by G. Born c.1811-3 Lancashire, England. A farmer by occupation, he came to New Brunswick in June 1832, and lived at Walton's Lake from at least 1850 until his death. A Roman Catholic, according to family legend he met his wife on the voyage over, and converted to Catholicism when he married her. He died 15 or 16 July 1889 at Kingston, of brain fever, and was buried in Milkish, probably at Chapel Grove; his age is listed as 77 years, and his date of death as the 16th in Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home records, but as being in his 76th year, and the 15th, in the Saint John Globe. He married Ann McCann , born in Ireland, possibly the daughter of Thomas McCann and Ellen Owens , who were both born in Fermanagh. She died 08 May 1898 at Moss Glen, at the age of 84, of old age, and was buried in Chapel Grove. She was listed as Mary A. McCann in the Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home funeral account card for their daughter Mary Ann. Their children from at least James were probably all born at Walton's Lake.

Parents: old naming practice, the 1st son was named after the father's father, in this case James. The 2nd daughter was named after the father's mother, in this case Alice. This practice would support the theory that Williams parents were James and Alice Walton. William's wife Mary's parents were Thomas (2nd son) and Eleanor (1st daughter). Fits to a tee.

On the 1851 census there is a date listed under "birth" that is June 1832. The family information has William as a resident in June 1832. According to the same document Ann would have become a resident in June of 1822, 10 years prior to William. Mary Ann "Ann" McCann and William Thomas Walton were married in 1835.

9. Mary Ann "Ann" McCann^25,26,55 was born in 1813 in County Fermanagh, Ireland.^{25,26,29,30,55} Age 38 in 1851, 60 in 1871, 66 in 1881. She immigrated in July 1823 to Canada from Ireland.⁵⁵ On her census record it says June of 1822, her parents as July 1823. Believe the latter date to be true as her parents would have had a better recollection as she was only 7 when immigrating. She lived in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1851.⁵⁵ Ann lived in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1871.²⁵ She was Catholic in 1881 in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada.³⁰ She lived in Kingston Parish, Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada in 1881.³⁰ Ann died on 8 May 1898 at the age of 85 in Moss Glen, Kings County, New Brunswick.²⁹ Per G.
