Where he landed, and where he spent the first 10 years of his residence in America is not known, but the records of Gloucester, Mass. show that Anthony Day sold land to John Pearce about the year 1643. He also purchased a house and lot of Edward Marshall in that town in 1657, in the "Poles".

From the "Green Book" published 1967: "In 1650 he married Susanna Mathcett, who survived him ten years, dying December, 10, 1717 aged ninety-three. He died in Gloucester, Mass., April 23, 1707 at age of ninety."
