13788. John (Goodall) Goodale was born about 1563.⁴⁵¹ He was a Chandler. John was a wealthy chandler who lived at Great Yarmouth, a famous herring
fishing port, in Norfolk County from 1613 until his death in 1625. Previously
he lived in the small market town of Downham also in Norfolk county but at
the western end. His father is probably Thomas "the Elder". Bridget Portler and John (Goodall) Goodale were married on 21 September 1588 in Downham, Norfolk, England.⁴⁵¹

13789. Bridget Portler was buried on 24 November 1607 in Downham, Norfolk, England.⁴⁵¹ Bridget and John had seven children. The Portler family were a yeoman family
from Stradsett, a parish only two or three miles from Downham but there has
been no connection found to Bridget.
