1832. Peter Grant was born about 1631 in Scotland.³⁸² He was buried between 2 March 1712 and January 1712. He died in Kittery, Maine (York). Diantha Howard says that William was born in Scotland cir 1631/34. He was
captured by Cromwell and deported to New England 1650-1 on the 'Unity". His
will was dated 19 Oct 1709, proved 30 Oct 1718, and iventory reported 2 Mar
1712/3. Joan or Johannah (MNU) Grant and Peter Grant were married on 28 November 1664 in Kittery, Maine (York).⁴¹⁴

1833. Joan or Johannah (MNU) Grant was born (date unknown). Joan was the widow of James Grant. She and Peter had lived together for some-
time. She was great with child when they married.

Children were:

	i.	William Grant was born about 1671 in Berwick, Maine (York).³⁸² He died about 1730 at the age of 59.³⁸²
