292. Zachariah Emery was born on 5 October 1690 in Kittery, Maine (York).²⁷³ Lived in Chelmsford,MA, enlisted June,1745 in the Expedition against Cape Breton in Capt. Gershom Davis' Company. Sent to Boston, Oct 1745 as agent of company to make up muster roll. Taken ill, did not return to Cape Breton. Later petitioned the General Court for loss of his & his son Samuel's guns, valued at 25 pounds 10 shillings. Rec'd only 3 pounds.,18 shillings. Samuel died at Cape Breton.
