possibly George and Jane ALDEN. Hired as a "cooper". Some have said, "He
appears to have been much better educated than a great many others in Plymouth
Colony". Arrived on the first trip of the ship "Mayflower". Also born Harwich,
Essexshire, England.

John and Priscilla were married in the Old Forte Church located on Burial
Hill, Plymouth Plantation, Plymouth, Massachusetts.

John ALDEN is among the twenty-six "approved" members of the first Mayflower
company from which they accept petition for membership in the "General Society
of Mayflower Descendents".

Arrived on the first trip of the ship "Mayflower" to Plymouth colony.

Died at age 94, also died aged 93. Elizabeth was the third child and eldest daughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins, the story of whose marriage is so happily described in Longfellow's "Courtship of Miles Standish".

Elizabeth is said to have been the first female child born after the landing of the Pilgrims.

approximation is fully five years after the death date shown. I conclude that
this is incorrect and therefore have deleted the given reference to the date
