With stick in hand, in imitation of Grandfather's staff, which he always carried, I trudged along behind him, stepping as nearly in his steps as I could, thereby 'walking proper,' as I thought. Grandmother usually rode to church with Aunt Lucy. They were frugal, industrious people." Priscilla Hamlin and Ichabod Chadwick were married on 12 July 1788 in Vassalboro, Maine (Kennebec). Ichabod Chadwick, son of James Chadwick and Ruth Hatch, was born on 11 November 1763 in Barnstable, Massachusetts (Barnstable). He was christened on 20 November 1763 in Falmouth, Massachusetts (Barnstable). He lived in Harlem (China), Maine (Kennebec) in 1800. Ichabod lived in Harlem (China), Maine (Kennebec) in 1810. He lived in Harlem (China), Maine (Kennebec) in 1820. He lived in Winslow, Maine (Kennebec) in 1840. Ichabod died on 15 January 1844 at the age of 80 in China, Maine, (Kennebec). In 1805 he was delegate from Harlem, now China, to the ordination of Rev. Nathaniel Robinson, who became pastor of the Baptist church in Palermo, Maine.
