1973. Candace B. Waterman was born on 4 March 1820 in Barton, Vermont (Orleans). She died on 17 July 1873 at the age of 53 in Holyoke, Massachusetts (Hampden). She was buried in Forestdale Cemetery, Holyoke, Massachusetts. Candace was 1/128 Wampanoag/Narragansett Indian from father. THis large family stuck together they went to Springfield MA then Windsor CT
and then to Dane Co. WI. Lucius' wife was from Chicopee. Horace lived at
Springfield as a youth. Elias and lucia also.

of ? of the brain 6 yrs later. connection?

Candace B. Waterman and Stillman Brooks were married on 11 December 1845 in Springfield, Massachusetts (Hampden). Stillman Brooks was born on 5 October 1814. He died on 3 November 1849 at the age of 35 in Fredonia, Chautauqua, New York. Birth: per Emma Brooks Waite 1937

Stillman Brooks in Fredonia Nov. 3 aged 35,
Was he delivering his crop to market when he died 400 miles from home?

He married in cabotville in 46, lived on Center St. in 47 & 48. As a teamster
in 49 living at Mill St. Springfield, now Chicopee Center. An Ivus Brooks lives
in Cabotville in 47 & 48. Elm then Park Sts. A Painter.

Candace B. Waterman and Edwin P. Perkins were married on 17 June 1852 in Holyoke, Massachusetts (Hampden). Edwin P. Perkins was born on 4 February 1819 in Rock Valley, Massachusetts. He died on 18 April 1879 at the age of 60. He was buried in Forestdale Cemetery, Holyoke, Massachusetts. (Edwin F.? of W.S. and Miss Elisa Maynard of Jaffrey N.H. int.Jan 10,1840)
Could this have been a failed engagement? There were lots of young women in
town to work in the mills.

Occupation: He was in the lumber business in W. Holyoke.
